"Instructor was knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions pertaining to the material. The course was very informational, material was engaging and easy to follow. It was helpful to watch real body camera footage demonstrating the material and seeing real reactions to questions."
"The instructor was skilled with a lot of 'field experience'. The field interviews were useful. I would host a course in the future!"
"The course was very relatable due to local working area. The most beneficial part of the course was the interview techniques and current trends."
"I would recommend all parts of this course to my colleagues. The 'why' explanation is great. Awesome course! This was one of the best interdiction courses I've ever attended."
"The most beneficial part of this course was seeing a traffic stop from an officer's perspective. I would recommend this course to my colleagues."
"The instructor is passionate about the subjects taught. The most beneficial part of this course was learning new ways to interdict criminal activity without an interstate."
"This was a great class! All of my deputies will be attending this class, and I can't wait to see what they can find. I would be interested in hosting a course at my agency in the future."
"The class was, in my opinion, the most real life and relatable class I have been in. The most beneficial part of the course was the interview and interdiction specifical questions."
"I would recommend the entire course to my colleagues. The amount of knowledge shared in this class was beneficial. Great training, good knowledge!"
"I would recommend this course to my colleagues. The course could easy be a 3-day course. Phenomenal job squeezing all of the info in in 2 days. My agency would be interested in hosting a class in the future."
"This class was the best class that I have seriously ever attended. An hour after the class and within five minutes of leaving the Police Department, I was on a traffic stop. I used what Mike taught us in class and collected drug intel from the driver, searched the vehicle, and ended up writing an open container citation. Mike taught us everything from case law to how to really read someone while conducting a roadside interview. I have been in law enforcement for 12 years now and I have never felt this confident. I highly recommend this class to every LEO who can attend. I am committing to have Mike come back every ear to my agency to share his knowledge. Well done, Mike!"
"Amazing class, everyone needs to go to this class! I would have loved one more day and some 'interactive search role play. I gave all fives on the evaluation form, and I never give all fives!"
Thank you, this has been one of the best classes I have been to in many years - you were able to keep my attention!
Thank you so much for coming down to teach us! It's really nice to have someone from the same geographical "two lane" area share their success. I've been doing the passenger seat interviews since attending Desert Snow. I've definitely had some really good cars since then and love the passenger seat interviews on car stops. Your class gave a really good in-depth look at criminal behaviors and signs of deception. The previous course I attended didn't touch on the target vehicle identification portion and I had to be taught that by my co-workers. Thank you so much for what you do!
I would recommend this class to my colleagues. The breakdown of what leads to an interdiction investigation, I found very applicable. Not showing only "loads" was the best approach to this class.
Fantastic course! I was able to fill in gaps from previous training and observations of other officer's encounters. I am appreciative of the first-hand experiences you have had and your willingness to share both the good and bad.
Nice job. The instructor was knowledgeable and professional. The overall presentation was relative to rural interdiction.
The most beneficial part of the training was the real-world examples. I like how you showed the indicators of criminal behavior are there regardless of whether there are pounds of dope or just a gram, or maybe it's related to some criminal activity other than dope.
The transparency in this course was refreshing! It made the training "real world" for me. The most beneficial part of this course was the front seat interview and explaining how to ask for consent to search.
I wanted to say thank you for excelling my training in an area I am interested in progressing. I learned a lot from the classroom portion, and your personal seizures big and small are awesome to see. The video footage was super helpful in what to look for in vehicle and subject behavior! I took in a lot of information that I will be using day to day. I learned a ton.
Thanks for the training! This was a great, well put-together course!
Since the training, I've been seeing a lot more reactions and behavior. I've been asking for, and receiving, consent more recently. Tonight, I conducted my first consensual contact with a consent search and found meth... in the jail parking lot none the less! Thank you for the training!
Thanks for sharing not only your winds but also some of the things you missed or learned from - those are just as important as the wins, especially for new(er) officers. The most beneficial part of the course was recognizing deceptive responses and behavior. Thanks for coming down!
I strive to be as knowledgeable in case law as you are, damn!
It's about time a POST class had relevant material to the job at hand!
There was lots of information for just two days. Three or four days with hands-on searching would be great!
I would recommend this course to my colleagues. The course was excellent!
My fellow Officer and I loved your class, and are hoping we can schedule a class with our agency for our other Officers. I passed your information along to my Chief and Assistant Chief so they can work with you on getting another class. Thank you again.
Hey brother, just letting you know we received great feedback from our guys on the class. Several have already mentioned wanting you to come back for other courses in the future. It sounds like it went great! Hope you had a good time and look forward to doing it again.
I can't suggest enough taking a class from Two-Lane Tactics. I've taken several proactive patrol/behavior classes but they focus on cities and interstate highways. Mike focuses on what he works, two-lane roads and areas with more cows than people. It's finally a class where I feel I can properly utilize the concepts that are taught.
I greatly enjoyed the class! I enjoyed the target vehicle selection and in-car interview sections of the course. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction on additional resources.
I thought the class was great. I really appreciated the dash cam videos. I think the course was a good length and pace to be effective and not take too much away from patrol. I think this would be a great class even for experienced interdiction officers. Thank you very much for taking the time to help teach us, I really enjoyed it.
I learned a lot and the class exceeded my expectations.
This was a great class, and I would recommend it to anyone. This course will help me get back into the groove to work!
This class was well presented and I could see the instructor's enthusiasm. This was the most beneficial class I have been to in a long time, and it revived my desire to go get bad guys!
This was a great class, and I would recommend it to anyone. This course will help me get back into the groove to work!
I’ve been to a lot of interdiction trainings over the years, and I’d easily rank Mike’s class in the top five nationwide.
This two-day, 8 hour per day training ran from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM each day with a one-hour lunch break. What really sets Mike apart from others in the interdiction world is his one-on-one approach and how approachable he makes the learning environment. He encourages questions and real time discussion. I’ve been in law enforcement for over 10 years, and while I was familiar with some of the material, there was still a ton I learned especially the way Mike broke it all down and helped connect the dots.
The atmosphere was informal but highly effective. When I had a question, I could just raise my hand, and it often turned into a full class discussion, which made the learning even more valuable.
Another major plus, the videos he used were all from his own stops and seizures not outdated content, but real footage from as recent as 2025. That relevancy made a huge difference. I also appreciated that when he mentioned case law, I could challenge him to name it and he’d actually pull up the statute or show the citation right there. That tells you everything about his credibility.
I would absolutely recommend this class to any officer working interdiction, and I believe it should be mandatory for anyone with five years or less on the job.
This was an excellent class that was presented in a manner that kept the class engaged the entire time.
This should be a mandatory course for all officers, new and experienced, as it highlights the importance of criminal traffic enforcement, proper search and seizure, traffic law, case law, K9, tools utilized for interdiction, interviewing techniques, and searching techniques.
A majority of the classes offered nationwide have a focus on interstate/large highway criminal interdiction, when a majority of the law enforcement agencies across the country patrol rural areas/smaller towns. It was nice to take a course that was focused on these more rural roadways and highlighted that criminal activity is present on all roadways, not just interstates.
This course is not a 'look at what I've done' or 'highlights of big seizures' that some other courses present. Instead, it's a course designed to teach other officers different techniques with how to succeed in criminal interdiction.
Mike is a very knowledgeable law enforcement officer who displays humbleness about the seizures/arrests he has made over his career.
You will leave this class motivated to go to work! Highly recommended!
I recently attended the Proactive Patrol Tactics for Rural Areas class, and it exceeded my expectations.
Mike was very knowledgeable in the material and presented it in a way that was practical and easy to apply in the field.
After taking this class, I have more confidence in myself and in using the tactics I learned.
I strongly recommend this training to anyone looking to improve their skills and become more effective on the street.
This class exceeded above and beyond my expectations. It has made me feel more confident with not only my interviews but also when there is a possibility I will be asking for a K-9.
Mike gave a hands-on experience with videos of himself and not other videos from other departments. From the initial stop to interviews to getting into a vehicle.
I would highly recommend for any LEO who’s new or seasoned.

In our first year of operation, we've put on some miles!
We are continuing to grow and are focused on providing quality training to law enforcement professionals across the country.
As you can see above, the reviews we've received have been great and each review has been thoroughly evaluated to see if there are things we can improve up for future classes.
